Why 4 stars? Because a waffle ice cream sandwich is never a bad idea. --- --- --- I've had Batter & Dough bookmarked for an incredibly long time and finally was able to stop in. I remember seeing it when I visited Capital Tacos years ago. They were either soon to open or just newly opened and I thought, "I'll have to check them out soon." The problem is that I'm just not in Wesley Chapel often, so when I was running some errands, I made it a priority to stop in. The menu is incredibly large and a bit overwhelming. I really felt like I could have chosen about 10 different things and heavily debated what to go with. Ultimately, I went with the waffle ice cream sandwich. Because they are not doing any indoor dining right now, she let me know that they would actually put the ice cream on top of the waffle instead of making a sandwich. I should have let her know that I was so pathetic that I planned on eating it in my car, so she was free to make it the original way. I didn't think of that until after-the-fact, but at least I didn't end up looking like a desperate fiend. I would say that I definitely enjoyed it. As I said, it's hard to go wrong with waffles and ice cream. Because the menu is so vast, I'm definitely intrigued to come back and try more of the menu. I also ordered an iced coffee with hazelnut and that hit the spot. There's nothing better than putting yourself in a food coma and then attempting to cancel it out with some caffeine. Batter & Dough I am sorry it took me so long to visit. Hopefully it's not too long before I pop in again and hopefully your tables are set back up inside so that we can enjoy your delicious treats as they were meant to be, and not in shame in the car.

This place was highly recommended by my best friend who comes here on the regular. I ordered an iced vanilla latte which was really good. It was nice and strong but not too overpowering. I ordered the mini churro pancakes with peanut butter and Nutella as added toppings. They were sooo good! The pancakes are small bite size pieces but still extremely fluffy. I definitely recommend Batter & Dough if you are in search for a cute breakfast cafe. Service was a bit slow but to be expected because they make everything fresh. Update: Originally I gave this place 4 stars but after trying more things on the menu it deserves 5 stars. I wanted to order something savory the last time I stopped by. I ordered a waffle with cheese and a medium egg. It was soo freaking delicious! I actually ended up coming back the next day and ordered the same thing again. Another reason Batter & Dough deserves to be bumped up to 5 stars is because the owner consistently delivers amazing customer service. She is so sweet, friendly, and helpful. Even at 8 in the morning she has a smile on her face.

So first off I'm not from Florida I'm here for a wedding. I love trying new places and Batter & Dough popped up when looking for a good brunch place. Me and my friend have been wanting pancakes and Batter & Dough had it. So when we arrived it was a nice little spot in a small shopping center. They had taken away all the seating so you had to order to go. I was a bit sad about that, but I understand due to Covid. Since everything was gone it gave enough room for people can social distance.. I order the Cheesy oinkie and it was delicious!!!!! It was perfect!! So it was two homemade waffles with cheese and bacon in the middle and top. It wasn't heavy, I didn't feel stuffed after. The size of I guess "sandwich" was probably a little bigger then my hand. The waffle where hard enough to hold but soft and fluffy when bite into. It was delicious and easy to enjoy on the go!! I ordered a Carmel macchiato. The lady asked me if I wanted it sweet, ami-sweet, or mildly sweet. Now I was impressed with this question. I'm a big coffee drink and I don't like my coffee very sweet so ordering place that don't specialize in coffee can be iffy. I got it mildly sweet and it was on point!!! But a little to hot to drink it right it's served. My friend got the Campfire. It was a handful of cute little pancakes topped with chocolate, marshmallows, and Graham cracker crust. She said it was delicious and not overloaded with sweetness. The pancakes mellowed out all of the toppings!! There was only two ppl working and they did a great job being able to make orders and take orders! They where very polite and patient. It took me a min to order.. lol They both seemed very grateful for our service and you can tell they where smiling under there masks. I'm sure being the only two working with a handful ppl waiting and be stressful!! If they where stressed I couldn't tell!! I give this place 5/5!!!! You need to try!!!

My son brought me to this decadent heaven. The choices of toppings for their mini pancakes and liege waffles is amazing. The chocolate chip cookie reminds me of the best cookie I've ever had which was at Levain bakery in NY. It's just as big and they serve it warm and it just melts in your mouth. If you like big rich chocolate chip walnut cookies this is the one to eat in Tampa. The hot chocolate was also an amazing surprise. Thick and rich with little marshmallows inside. It's amazing because everything sounds super sweet but they walk the fine line and make everything so good without being over sweet. A definite find! Oh and the employees which I believe are the owners couldn't be any nicer and sweeter.

So this was My wife's finding, her and our 2 boys. Unfortunately, I was not there the first nor the second time. But the 3rd time was a charm. I fell in love with their coffee first, my wife would bring it home for me. If you can make AMAZING coffee you won a piece of me. Shortly thereafter I tried their food, can you say yum yum yum. My boys are huge fans of the mini pancakes they make especially when you can add different toppings. The place is a simple but cool decor. It reminds me of a school lunchroom but more updated, very roomy. The name speaks for itself "Batter & Dough". From pancakes to waffles and anything that is yummy to make with batter. The concept is simple but well-executed, this establishment has found a way to win over not only the adults heart but the children as well. When I tell you that this place is where it's at trust me you won't be disappointed. My family and I found a place where we all get something yummy and delicious at the same time. Kudos Batter & Dough for you are an establishment to be reckoned with. Everyone should take a chapter from this place book, they found how to incorporate the love in the food for all ages.
